You are in good hands with Nidhi Shah PT, DPT, MS, the visionary behind Your Movement Specialist. Dr. Shah is a nationally and internationally licensed physical therapist with 10+ years of clinical experience. She has a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree and a Master’s degree in Neuromuscular Rehabilitation from MGH Institute of Health Professions. She has served in clinical and leadership positions across different settings in New York and New Jersey and helped hundreds of clients return to being the best versions of themselves.

She has received the award in Clinical Excellence from MGH Institute of Health Professions. She has accepted multiple awards for providing Excellent Patient Experience. Dr. Shah has also been bestowed with an Award in Operational Excellence and Awards for going Above and Beyond at her former employments.

Nidhi has a strong passion for treating individuals with neuromuscular conditions. As an adolescent, she watched her grandfather lose his strength, independence and power to Parkinson’s disease and two strokes. She was moved by the disability, dependence and decline neurological conditions cause and the psychological effect it had on her grandfather. This drove her to pursue her Masters degree with a specialty in Neuromuscular Rehabilitation.

Dr. Shah’s expertise has helped hundreds of individuals reclaim their lives through her treatment. She has deep knowledge and experience treating individuals with movement disorders like Parkinson’s disease, neurological conditions, vertigo, inactive aging, post-surgical care and other pain syndromes. Her education and training, combined with her compassion and understanding of the human psychology drives excellent results. Her goal is to help you bridge the gap between you and your best self.

Dr. Shah assesses all components of dizziness and treats a wide array of vestibular conditions including BPPV and vestibular hypofunction. She has helped clients who suffered for years before getting complete relief from symptoms with the treatment she offers. Her certification in Vestibular Rehabilitation from American Institute of Balance gives her the perfect tools to help you literally “get back on your feet”.

Her passion also lies in helping individuals with Parkinson’s disease and other neurological conditions maintain independence and delay progression. She has transformed the lives of individuals with PD – some have left their wheelchairs to walk, and some have progressed to walking without a device, running, playing with their grandchildren and living lives to the fullest. Her certifications in LSVT-BIG © and BIG for LIFE © ensure you get the latest, most effective treatments available.

She has disruptive thinking when it comes to aging. She believes that the best way to age is to age ACTIVELY. Her evidence-based practice delivers what is the best antidote to loss of strength, balance and other myriad of medical conditions that come with advancing age. For pain disorders and post-surgical rehabilitation, she uses a unique combination of neuroscience and musculoskeletal health to get you back on track in just a few sessions.

In addition to being a healthcare professional, she is a caring partner, a full-time mother to two kids, a yoga practitioner and an amateur baker.
